SAVING 5 WITH 5

This is an awareness and fundraising campaign on Under 5 Mortality in Nigeria. 1 in 10 children in Nigeria die between birth and 5 years as a result of preventable conditions. This makes Nigeria the second highest contributor to Under 5 Mortality worldwide.

We aim to reduce Under 5 Mortality rate (U5MR) from 100.2 per thousand live births to 25 per 1,000 live births in line with the SDG 2030 goal for U5MR. We would do this by implementing the following 5 strategies:

1. Educating mothers and caregivers
2. Vaccinating children against Rotavirus
3. Buying medical equipment for children’s hospitals
4. Training healthcare providers
5. Raising funds for child healthcare services
