Our Focus Areas

Early Childhood Development and Nutrition

Across Nigeria, millions of children face malnutrition and psychosocial stress, we are changing that with evidence-based programs.

Progress in combating malnutrition has stagnated over the past decade, and appears to be worsening, with malnutrition contributing to over half of all deaths among children aged under 5 years.

Through our Early Childhood Development and Nutrition initiatives, we have supported provided nutrition support to 3143 people in Nigeria.

Mental and Psychosocial Support

We provide mental health and psychosocial support to children within and outside the clinical setting by leveraging a variety of tools including community hubs and support groups, workshops, responsive caregiving, arts, and play therapy.

Our mental health and psychosocial support initiatives also extend to other players within a child’s cycle of care including caregivers and health workers. Our model aims to optimise the mental and emotional wellbeing of a child by ensuring that caregivers and health workers are equipped with the capacity to utilise various tools of care that ensure continued mental wellness of a child.

Our mental and Psychosocial programs have impacted 441 children who have participated in structured play activities, 93 caregivers who received psychosocial education, and 30 health workers trained on play-based therapy.

Adolescent Health

Aiding the transition from childhood to adulthood by providing sexual and reproductive health education and providing life skills training. Informed by the principles of the Global Accelerated Action Plan for Adolescents, our program adopts a holistic approach to adolescent health and well-being, recognizing that the development of healthy, empowered individuals is essential not only for personal fulfillment but also for the prosperity and stability of society at large.
