We closed out 2024 with the 6th Edition of our Food Distribution Project. We provided essential food items to 404 vulnerable households in Alimosho and Lagos Island areas of Lagos State. Our target beneficiaries were pregnant women, young mums aged 18-24yrs, and caregivers of children under 5 years.
Beyond the food distribution, health educators at both locations led vital discussions on Maternal, Infant, and Young Child Nutrition (MIYCN), antenatal care, hygiene, and overall well-being, equipping families with the knowledge to make healthier choices for their children. At Ikotun PHC, the atmosphere was even more lively with interactive games that fostered connections and brought smiles to the participants.
The project was made possible through the generous donations of our individual donors and the invaluable product support from Golden Penny and Peak, whose contributions ensured that families had access to staple foods and essential nutrition.
The impact of this food drive goes beyond numbers—it brought comfort, eased burdens, and reinforced the message that no family should have to struggle alone.
