Under the Build a World of Play project, we coordinated integrated play outreaches across selected local governments in Lagos. The structured play intervention sessions were delivered within community and school settings and were facilitated by trained play interventionists in alignment with inclusive child development principles.
Between January and March 2026, we delivered 13 play intervention outreaches across seven Local Government Areas (LGAs) in Lagos State including Mushin, Agege, Alimosho, Lagos Island, Oshodi-Isolo, and Ikorodu.
The initiative engaged a total of 5,355 children including 213 through repeat engagement spanning 31 schools and 5 communities, with a core focus on promoting inclusive play, facilitating the early identification of developmental delays, and providing psychosocial support.
